If it’s your first time booking a band, you’re certain to have lots of questions, and we want to help the best way we can by making you feel confident about your booking! Below you can find a list of the most common questions about booking a band. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please feel free to email us.
How long do the bands usually perform for?
Most of our bands offer 2x 45-minute sets as standard, with short breaks in between. However, performance times can be tailored to suit your event.
Do the bands bring their own equipment?
Yes! All our acts come fully equipped with professional PAT tested sound and lighting gear. You just need to provide a suitable space and power supply.
Can we request specific songs or a first dance?
Absolutely. Many of our bands will learn a special song with enough notice—perfect for first dances or meaningful requests. In peak season when our acts are fully booked, sometimes song requests cannot always be guaranteed, but we will always try our best to work with our customers to match their needs.
Do you do corporate events packages

Do the bands play music between sets?
Yes, background or party playlists can be played through the band’s PA system during breaks, which is included in our private events packages. Some acts also offer a full DJ add-on for an extra fee.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as early as possible—especially for peak summer dates. Popular bands can be booked up months (even a year) in advance, so don’t delay!
Will the band travel to my location?
Yes! Our acts perform all over the UK. Travel costs may apply for certain locations, but we’ll always be upfront about any additional fees.
What if my venue has sound restrictions?
No problem—many venues have sound limiters or decibel restrictions, and our acts are experienced in working within those limits. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll recommend the best setup to stay compliant without losing the vibe.
Can I book more than one act for my event?
Absolutely! Many clients book multiple acts—like an acoustic duo for a drinks reception and a full band for the evening party. We’ll help you build a lineup that fits your schedule and budget perfectly.
How long does it take for an act to set up?
Setup times vary depending on the size of the act and the venue, but as a general guide, a 4–6 piece band (particularly if also offering a disco service) will need at least 50–70 minutes to load in, set up, and soundcheck properly. Anything under a 3-piece usually needs about an hour. We’ll confirm exact timings with you in advance.
What if I need to cancel or change my booking?
We understand plans can change. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Our cancellation and refund policies vary depending on timing and the specific act—full details will be provided at booking to keep everything clear and fair. We’ll always do our best to accommodate changes where we can.
How do I secure a band for my event?
To book one of our acts, you’ll need to pay a deposit and sign a simple agreement form. This helps secure your date and confirms all the details. The remaining balance is usually due closer to the event. We’ll guide you through every step to make it hassle-free.
Do your bands perform at outdoor events?
Yes! Many of our acts regularly play outdoor gigs, from garden parties to large festivals. We’ll discuss any special requirements like weather backup plans, sound restrictions, and power supply to make sure your outdoor event goes off without a hitch.
How much space does a band typically need?
Space needs vary by band size, but a typical 4–6 piece band requires around 4–6 metres in length (3m in depth) to comfortably set up equipment and perform. Smaller acts need less space. We’ll provide exact specs for your chosen act to ensure the venue can accommodate them easily.
Can I choose the band's setlist?
Most bands are happy to take your input. While they have tried-and-tested setlists that work well live, you can usually request favourite songs from their repertoire that they will share with you prior to your event, as well as discuss special moments like your first dance, etc.
Will the band need food and drinks?
Yes, we kindly ask that bands are provided with basic refreshments—usually soft drinks, water, and a hot meal or buffet if they’re on-site for more than 4 hours. It keeps them fuelled and ready to give their best performance! We’ll confirm any specific needs when you book.
Are travel expenses included in the price?
Travel costs vary depending on the band’s location and the event venue. Some acts include local travel in their fee, while longer distances may incur an additional charge. We’ll always outline any travel expenses clearly in your quote—no hidden surprises!
What time will the band arrive on the day?
Bands usually arrive around 2 hours before their first set to allow time for unloading, setup, and soundcheck. Exact arrival times will be confirmed based on your event schedule to ensure everything runs smoothly. Should you wish for your act to arrive earlier than this, an early arrival fee will apply.
